Looking to host a party on your pontoon? While your model certainly has the space for all of your friends and family to tag along on an open water trip, hosting a large group of guests at one time can still be tricky. For tips on how to successfully plan a pontoon party, check out our tips below.

Food

Food is one of the hardest things you’ll have to deal with when throwing a party on your pontoon. It can be difficult to store, prepare, and serve food on deck without the right preparation. If possible, we recommend sticking to hors d'oeuvres and finger foods to reduce the amount of prep and ensure you have time to mingle with your guests. If you’re serving food that requires utensils or dishware, be sure to have plenty for all of your guests. Don’t forget to bring along plenty of drinks and fresh water as well.

Trash

Parties generate trash, and you’ll need to be careful that none of your refuse ends up falling into the water. Be sure to have a large trash receptacle on hand so guests can dispose of any garbage, and make sure to bring along extra bags for the inevitable cleanup later. We also recommend bringing a multi-purpose cleaner and a few rags or paper towels so you can easily clean up any messes or spills that occur.
